Have your heard about the Google Project Glass. A lot of people don’t even know what’s this i mean this technology is so far from what we know. I have been waiting to see something like this but i always thought i would be around year 2020 that i would see this. I guess Google and Oakley and and ahead of the game. Who are is Oakley they are a Sunglasses maker Company competing against Google Glass project.

Oakley is working initially on products that would appeal to athletes, Baden said. The headgear would respond to voice commands, a la Siri, and connect wirelessly to a smartphone via Bluetooth technology. The company is also exploring a similar product that could be useful to the military.

One advantage Oakley might have over Google? Style. Baden told Bloomberg Oakley would have a leg up against more tech-heavy competitors because the company is in the business of making fashionable accessories.

“People get very particular when they put stuff on their face,” Baden said.

Pinterest, a two-year-old social bookmarking site that lets users collect and share things they like on the web, is driving increasingly significant amounts of traffic to retailers’ websites.

The Service enables users to create online bulletin boards, or “pinboards,” for popular categories such as home decor, food and wedding inspiration. Members can use Pinterest’s “Pin It” bookmarklet tool and iPhone app to save things they see online and offline, and explore and repin the images their friends collect via their personal newsfeeds. The website is especially popular among women, who account for 58% of Pinterest’s traffic, according to Experian Hitwise.

The site’s popularity is quickly growing. Pinterest’s traffic increased more than fourfold between September 2011 and December 2011, bringing in 7.51 million unique visitors in December alone, data from Compete indicates. The amount of traffic Pinterest sent elsewhere has risen accordingly, becoming a top five referrer for several apparel retailers, according to internal data from Monetate, which provided the infographic below.

Although Pinterest is becoming a significant source of traffic for retailers, search still dominates, and the site has yet to prove itself as a potential sales channel. At present, scant data is available about the social network’s conversion rates.

Well Facebook release Timeline and a lot of people don’t like it, how about you do you like facebook Timeline? Facebook has been trying to keep thier name on top of the Social Media names. I am only waiting for timeline to be release for Brands will see how that will work out. I have been reading some other blogs and they are saying that timeline will not work with brands. I think that for brands they should make it an option if you wanna go with timeline. There are rumors that Facebook is trying to have all Facebook users on timeline by the end of Feb. That’s when they are trying to release timeline for brands. So by far all brands pages will have to wait until every Facebook user is on timeline to see timeline in brands pages.
